PhD Student

As a Ph.D. student in the Freshwater Fish Ecology Laboratory, I am working with Dr. Eduardo Martin (UNBC) and Dr. Scott Hinch (UBC) to investigate thermal habitat-use and thermoregulation by Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) throughout the Nechako watershed in Central BC. Through this work, I aim to integrate my interests in field-based research, freshwater ecology, and fisheries management with real-world applications. By advancing our understanding of how Chinook salmon use and select riverine thermal habitats across life stages, I intend for this work to inform and enhance conservation and management strategies in the face of ongoing climate change.
